The Bear Branch of Whites Creek is beautiful year round. It never dries up - even in the really dry years the creek keeps going.
Look how beautiful it is when the winter is cold! You can enjoy it snuggled up next to the gas stove while looking out the beautiful windows in the sun room/living room.

Bear Hollow is GORGEOUS in the Spring.
Here's a small sample of what you'll find in early Spring.

The Kitchen
The Master Bedroom
When we first bought our house this room was the dining room! When we built on our wonderful family room http://bearhollowhome.blogspot.com/2008/07/best-room-in-house.html we opened up the wall between the old living room and the kitchen and turned the living room into the dining room. We then built a closet out of part of the new dining room so that the old dining room could now be the master bedroom. (Is that too confusing?) Anyway, It made a very nice sized room.
You may not be able to tell from the picture, but this is a king-sized bed. You can see that there is still a lot of room in the room even with a big bed.
You gotta have one of these...
It's hard to take a fancy picture of a bathroom. This one, of course, has all the things that make a bathroom a bathroom. Plus there is a shower in the bath. (I mention that because I had a house once that actually didn't have a shower. I put one in.)
I'm just thankful that - given that this house was built in the 50s - that the tile isn't baby blue or pink!

House for Sale
An updated 1950s ranch at 3575 Bear Hollow Road in Whites Creek, TN

We listed our house today with Joy and Company Real Estate Services - Part of ERA.
You can e-mail Joy at boykinc@realtracs.com for more information about the house or to set up a time to see it in person.
When I know the MLS number I'll post it here.
The Barn
There's a pole barn at the back of the acreage that's perfect for storing all of your big things. It's on the other side of the creek, across the bridge. Look how grand the black walnut tree is on the way to the barn.
I just have grandchildren toys and my tractor/mower and some metals chairs. I suppose I should straighten it all up...
The barn is approximately 19 1/2 feet across the front, 20 1/2 feet deep and 11 1/2 feet tall. The roof slants toward the back. (I measured it by myself so it's close but not exact.)
If you wanted to, you could finish it off, put up a fence and have some horses in the back.

Delightful Dining
When our children were little we knew it was important to eat meals together. We didn't live here on Bear Hollow, but we had a lovely dining room. We ate supper together every evening. I always had a table cloth and nice dishes on the table.
We love to get together and share a meal as a family now. Only now the kids are married and we have grandchildren at the table. This dining room gives us plenty of room.
It's also a great room for a romantic candlelight dinner for two. There is a dimmer on the light so you can create the perfect mood.
This formal dining room used to be the living room. When we built on our wonderful sun room/living room we opened up this beautiful archway from the kitchen.

Best Room in the House
It used to be a two and a half car carport. Now it is a fantastic sun room.

Bench seats for extra seating when you have guests or for laying down next to an open window and listening to the creek while you read a book.

The stained-glass window hangs between the sun/family room and the formal dining room. (It is not included with the house - sorry.)

It has a really cool, beautiful ceiling. People sometimes think it is wallpaper. It actually is painted. It took me a very long time to paint it.
There is a nice informal eating area - perfect for a birthday party.

A dry bar (with water near by if you want to fix a wet bar). I use it as a work area to paint.

The dry bar has a custom top made of stained-glass. It fits music city well (notice the violins/fiddles).
