Winter Is Beautiful on Bear Hollow

The Bear Branch of Whites Creek is beautiful year round. It never dries up - even in the really dry years the creek keeps going.

Look how beautiful it is when the winter is cold! You can enjoy it snuggled up next to the gas stove while looking out the beautiful windows in the sun room/living room.

Beautiful Bear Hollow

Late Spring is beautiful on Bear Hollow.
The roses and iris and peonies are blooming.
The creek is beautiful after the rains. Of course, it is beautiful year round and never dries up - even in the years when we had a drought.

The Kitchen

Roomy! Space for an island if you want to add one.

The washer and drier are in the small utility room (over there - by the refrigerator).

Dishwasher, oven and stove top, tons of cabinet space, room for a cozy breakfast at the tall table (not included with the house)... this is a great kitchen.

The Master Bedroom

When we first bought our house this room was the dining room! When we built on our wonderful family room http://bearhollowhome.blogspot.com/2008/07/best-room-in-house.html we opened up the wall between the old living room and the kitchen and turned the living room into the dining room. We then built a closet out of part of the new dining room so that the old dining room could now be the master bedroom. (Is that too confusing?) Anyway, It made a very nice sized room.

You may not be able to tell from the picture, but this is a king-sized bed. You can see that there is still a lot of room in the room even with a big bed.

You gotta have one of these...

It's hard to take a fancy picture of a bathroom. This one, of course, has all the things that make a bathroom a bathroom. Plus there is a shower in the bath. (I mention that because I had a house once that actually didn't have a shower. I put one in.)

I'm just thankful that - given that this house was built in the 50s - that the tile isn't baby blue or pink!
